Essential Theatre is holding the Sand and Serenity Raffle to support the production of the 2025 Essential Theatre Play Festival.
The Prize for the Winner is: a three-night stay at a privately owned beach house on Daufuskie Island (Value: $1,050). Daufuskie Island is car-free. Ferry, ground transport, and golf cart rental are the responsibility of the Winner.
Visit must take place before April 1, 2026. Beach house is subject to availability at the time of reservation.
Winner must be 18 years of age as of August 31, 2025 to win the Prize. Winner may be required to provide proof of age at time of prize acceptance.
Tickets will be sold until 2pm on August 31, 2025. The cost is $25 per ticket or $100 for five (5) tickets and may be purchased online at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/sand-and-serenity. Each ticket must list the purchaser’s name and email address, and it is recommended that the confirmation email be kept by the purchaser for record-keeping purposes. If the ticket is a gift, the name and phone number or email address of the giftee should be noted on the ticket purchase.
Purchase of a ticket is not considered a donation and is not deductible as a charitable contribution for
federal income tax purposes.
The raffle drawing will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at 5 pm at Seven Stages, located at 1105 Euclid Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA 30307.
Winner need not be present at the drawing and will be contacted using the information provided on the winning ticket. Winner consents to the use of their name, comments, and photographs by the Essential Theatre for promotional purposes without further compensation.
Prior to accepting the Prize, Winner must provide Essential with a W-9, and a clear and readable photocopy of identification (such as driver’s license or passport). Winner’s social security number may be verified by Essential, and additional forms or information may be required for tax reporting purposes before the Prize is released.
Essential Theatre staff, artists, and volunteer board members are eligible to participate in this raffle.
The Essential Theatre is not liable for any loss, injury, death, accident, theft, illness, or other misfortune of any nature whatsoever incurred during this trip or resulting from it. By accepting the Prize, the Winner releases Essential, its employees, trustees, agents, and attorneys from any and all obligations to the Prize and any and all claims or causes of action that may exist against Essential Theatre, known or unknown, as well as any such obligations, claims, or causes of action arising from the Winner’s acceptance of the Prize. Essential makes no warranty whatsoever, express or implied, with respect to the
Prize.
Raffle tickets or payments for purchase of raffle tickets may not be deposited in the federal postal service. Doing so is a violation of federal laws and may lead to penalties.
