“The incredible true story Lee Nowell tells in I’M NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT THIS is both heart-rending and hilarious, deeply personal and yet completely relatable. She has taken a devastating experience and made from it something not only beautiful but wise and healing. I can pay her performance no greater compliment than to say it rises to the level of her material.” – Peter Hardy, Playwright, Filmmaker, and Artistic Director, Essential Theatre
“Lee Nowell performs alchemy, transforming frustration into humor, confusion into possibility, and bitterness into love. I’M NOT SUPPOSED TO TALK ABOUT THIS shifted my perspective— the day after seeing it, life was better.” – Ellen McQueen, Director and Actress, Essential Theatre, Alliance Theatre, and many others
